The whole family (parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles) can be involved in Pre-School, if they wish to.
Stay and Play
Once your child is settled at Pre-School you are welcome to sign up for ‘Stay and Play’ (not for the first half term for new children). This involves you staying and helping for the whole session and gives you the chance to join in with Pre-School’s daily activities, and see what the children are doing. If you would like to do this please ask a member of staff to show you how to sign up.
Come and Share
If you have a skill or interest you are willing to share with the children then please talk to a member of staff. In the past parents have told stories, played musical instruments, helped the children make fruit smoothies, brought in baby chicks for the children to look at and handle, and many other things. Please don’t be shy!
All parents are encouraged to join the Pre-School’s management committee. Your ideas, time and commitment are vital to us. The Pre-School News section of the website will contain details of committee meetings, which are informal and friendly and a brilliant way to get to know other parents/carers.
Support Fundraising Efforts
If you are not able to join the committee then please keep an eye open for details of events to raise funds for new toys and equipment that all of the children can enjoy and support us wherever possible. Any fundraising ideas are gratefully received.
The staff and management committee are always keen to hear your views. We have a suggestion box near the entrance to Pre-School. Alternatively speak to a member of staff or the committee.
On the wall of the children’s cloakroom the staff members have a wish-list of items e.g. glue sticks, post-it notes, plain paper. Please take a look at this and help out where possible.
