This is a small Aurinkopullo (sunflower) vase designed for Riihimäki (Riihimäen Lasi Oy) of Finland by Helena Tynell in 1964. The vase is in the light amethyst colourway and is 12.5 cm (5 inches) in height and 10 cm (4 inches) in diameter. It weighs 255 g. (~ 9 oz.). There is no maker’s mark. The original plastic label is still attached to the neck with the words “Finncristall Made in Finland” written on it. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. There is a tiny flaw on one rib which occurred when taking it out of the mould at manufacture and can only be seen under a magnifying glass. Quote item: 7698 Please note: 1.
