This is an Iittala of Finland vase, “Lintupullo (bird bottle)”, designed by Timo Sarpaneva, model 2501, the design dating from the 1950s. The vase is in excellent condition for its age. It shows age related wear and tear to the rim of the base consistent with some 70 years of use. The vase is blown in thin green glass and is ovoid in shape with a short neck and beak-like pouring spout. It measures 10.5 cm (4.2 inches) in width at its widest point. It ends in a base on which are etched the words “Timo Sarpaneva Iittala”. The vase is 16 cm (6.4 inches) in height. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches or any obvious evidence of restoration. It weighs in at 160 g. (~ 5 1/2 oz.). Quote item: 7937 Please note: 1.
